Jess and Logan

Intimate Garden Wedding

I had the privilege of meeting Jess at our V10 shoot for Southern Weddings last spring, 2017. We got along very well and I’m honored to say, it led to photographing her wedding this spring, 2018. Emily, her co-worker from Southern Weddings, was their planner and it was so fun to work with these ladies again.

Jess is the sweetest girl that puts off a radiant joy around her. Seeing her on her wedding day was no exception! Logan is such a great match, as he too is one of the nicest guys I’ve met. Their intimate garden wedding took place at Glen-Ella, a small bed and breakfast in North Georgia. The beautiful grounds and spring weather made everything beyond perfect. Their were many unique items in their wedding that I loved; including, the mismatched bridesmaids’ dresses, Logan’s father being the officiant, Jess wearing her mother-in-laws veil from Brussels (which was worn by four other family members!), the handwritten thank you notes on each guests place setting, cookies and milk, and the overall happiness throughout the day!

It was so wonderful to capture their sweet wedding! Thank you both for having me.

“Choosing Davy to capture our wedding day was an easy choice–a choice that my husband and I would make again and again. Yes, Davy’s photography is exquisite, but it’s so much more than that. Davy didn’t just capture what happened on our wedding day in his photos; he captured what we felt. Since our wedding, I’ve had so many friends and family comment on what a joy Davy was to be around on our wedding day. He’s sincere, genuine, effuses joy and excitement at every moment, and his presence alone made our day feel more joyful.” – Jess (Bride)

Amanda and Benjamin

Houston, TX

Amanda and Benjamin’s intimate Houston wedding was dotted with intricate details that made their day one to remember! Amanda’s gown, designed by Leanne Marshall, was princess-like; flowing elegantly to her feet in a velvety, white train. The entire Houston Oaks venue was decorated by the local Bows and Arrows Flowers boutique, and the couple’s hand-crafted paper goods were a perfect pair with the vibrant color palette. The bride and groom enjoyed a lovely seated dinner beneath a majestic oak overlooking the water, and toasted their signature spirits. At the end of their beautiful day together, Amanda and Benjamin were driven away from the venue in a vintage Rolls Royce convertible. Congratulations on your special day, Amanda and Benjamin!
