Choosing Davy to shoot our wedding went far beyond just having beautiful photographs. He immediately became a friend and an intricate part of our weekend from the moment he pulled in my parents’ driveway on Friday. Davy brought the most comforting and joyful presence to everyone on our wedding day, which meant so much to a bride who fears the spotlight and a groom who usually dodges the camera. Emma and Pritchard are high school sweethearts that decided to celebrate their wedding day in a unique and modernly elegant manner. Emma met Pritchard as a sophomore in high school, and after dating throughout high school and college, they decided to tie their lives together forever. Their wedding ceremony was held in The Cathedral of St. Paul in Birmingham, Alabama, followed by a stunning reception in the Birmingham Museum of Art. Being an interior designer, Emma’s color palette, seating areas, floral arrangements, and overall day-of-style was carefully orchestrated around her own creative vision, and carried out by Mariée Ami, who Emma worked with for a number of years in the past.

Emma wore a stunning gown designed by Monique Lhuillier and Lela Rose, and her bridesmaids wore lovely dresses designed by Joanna August. Emma and Pritchard’s entire day was marked with gorgeous floral arrangements crafted by Buffy Hargett Flowers and Edna-K Design. The wedding’s reception was truly special and unique. Being held in an art museum gave the entire evening a sense of elegance and flare that shown brightly, just like Emma and Pritchard’s longtime love.
