Davy Whitener is a fine art film photographer. One of his specialties is photographing senior and family portraits. His approach combines classic, timeless, editorial, and candid elements. A perfect blend for capturing each unique session. His relational personality embellishes his technical skills enabling people to relax and enjoy their experience. This combination of talents turns sacred moments into beautiful photographs.
Davy has true passion for his craft. He started working with a manual film camera in 1996. Initially, he taught himself by documenting his settings with pen and pad. He booked his first jobs in 1999. After college and an apprenticeship, he has worked full time since 2005.
Davy resides in Atlanta with his wife Lydia and their children Prudence, James, Milly, and Gideon. He is an adventurer and lover of the great outdoors. When he doesn’t have a camera in his hand, you can find him fly fishing, hunting seasonal game, or spending time with his family.
