Carrie and Daryl

Jekyll Island Club

“Davy is beyond talented! His eye for classic beauty and artistic talent created an amazing gallery of wedding photographs for our family. Looking through them after the wedding was like Christmas! He captured candid moments at the reception with our parents and friends that are priceless. Davy thought of every photograph that we would have needed or wanted, which really allowed us to enjoy our wedding day. His photographs are timeless perfection.” – Carrie and Daryl

Many of the weddings I photograph can be described as elegant and Southern. I love capturing beautiful details, but even more so, I’m inspired by kind people, hospitable gestures, and amazing locations. I found all of the above at Carrie and Daryl’s wedding last summer! They chose the Jekyll Island Club Resort, a historic hotel in coastal Georgia, for their wedding day and made great use of the different venues on the property. Their first look took place under the shade of Spanish moss before they gathered in the Faith Chapel for the ceremony. We were lucky to get those first look portraits because the skies opened up soon after! The teams from Molly McKinley Designs and the Jekyll Island Club Resort quickly relocated the cocktail hour, and the celebration continued seamlessly, later progressing to a twinkling tented reception. From the tasteful mix of oval-back and chiavari chairs to the amazing floral chandeliers Lindsay Coletta installed, each detail (thoughtfully curated by the bride’s sister, Molly of Molly McKinley Designs) made the evening feel especially magical. After dinner, cake, and plenty of dancing to the music of The Royals, Carrie and Daryl drove away in a vintage Bentley…to the after-party in yet another corner of the resort!

Carrie and Daryl, capturing your wedding and celebrating with your family and friends was a privilege. I hope these photographs always bring you right back to your special day!
